Default Build your own 'surface' PC

Why pay Microsoft $10,000 when you can build your own for about $350?

The nifty 'Surface' PC that responds to human touch as seen here is nice, but not *that* nice.
For those of us on a budget, these people have a guide on how to build your own using yoghourt pots, papier mache and sticky back plastic (well.. not quite).

I love the way photos are downloaded from the camera. Add a virtual keyboard in the corner and it may spell the end of RSI. Recognising objects placed on the table could be useful - if your cat tiddled on the screen it could unleash a movie of a rabid dog. House training in one easy lesson!

Or play happy noises to the cat, you would have the worlds first $10,000 kitty litter tray.
