Default IE8 included as critical update

I saw on slashdot yesterday that Microsoft are now including Internet Explorer 8 in their latest "critical update" for windows XP. It seems that Microsoft really want you to have it (for you own safety, of course).

But the nightmare that is IE8 is not unavoidable. Here is a page showing how to keep IE8 off of you machine... for now!

I upgraded my home system and 4 PCs at work to IE8.
Then we went back to using FireFox.

I actually haven't used it yet but I don't really have any reason to change.

I really only use it for Windows Updates, although I suppose I could do that through IETab on FF.

That's fine - thanks - don't think I have used that one.
